Thoughts for the day: The path of roses & 傻笑 "Sha Xiao"
Step 1 ~ Self-rant:
Study break is coming. 3 weeks I'll be away. I should use this time to stay hidden and away. Maybe lock myself up. Probably then, I can think better.
There's nothing more painful than being so close but yet so far. Yet you still move on in denial.
何が欲しいか？自分の心を信じないだから。
Sometimes, you just need to make up your mind and go with it.
Sometimes, you just have to wake up and realise that reality really does hurt.
And in the end, you just need to practice caution and protect yourself,
Tread carefully on the path you take, and don't cross the boundary.
以前的勇气和坚持， 还有那高傲的宗旨， 现在跑去哪里了？
或是， 你还学不会。。
Step 2 ~ Story telling:
There was once a story I heard, and maybe we all should learn a thing or two from this. For this holds true, and can influence all of us in a very significant way.
In here, I shall name this "The Path of Roses"
There was once a boy who was enjoying his leisurely stroll,
The stroll he was so used to and so familiar with,
As he has done so since time long forgotten,
In the barren land that was dark and grey but he felt wild and free.
But this day something out of ordinary happened,
He stumbled upon a path he had never noticed before,
Where on both sides of the path stood rose bushes filled with roses of different sizes,
And the ground was glowing in red and pink from the petals of roses.
There was something about this path that caught his attention,
And he was lured towards it in a way that he felt like embracing the roses,
But before he could step into the path he was halted by a force,
A power voice resonated within his mind that caused his heart to race faster.
"I am Love and this is the Path of Roses,
You have gained our attention and we would like to paint your world in colours,
Pick one of the Roses in the path and walk to the end of the Path back into your world,
The Rose will be your guide and your support from there on."
"If you choose to take the Path you will have to abide to three simple rules:
You may only pick one Rose
You may not step backwards
You may choose only once"
With that the boy felt the binding force on him vanished,
He has never felt this excited before in his life,
Without a second though in his mind,
He dashed into the Path....
Keeping in mind Love's three rules,
He carefully surveyed each and every Rose in the Path,
Some were delicate and smooth, some were vibrant in colour,
Some puffed up scent like perfume, some were hidden behind its thorns.
He walked on and on and there were so many that he liked
He couldn't make up his mind as everytime he sees a Rose he liked,
He would stop and pause and think to himself,
"I'm sure there will be a better one further down the Path"
Sometimes, he was right,
Sometimes, he was wrong,
He was too engrossed in looking for the better Rose,
And realised this a moment too late when he had reached the end of the Path.
The Path disappeared in that very instant,
And he was back at his lonely and dark world,
With not a single Rose in his hand,
He was left with only regret: the first Rose he saw was the one he liked the most.
Step 3 ~ Music sharing:
The finale of this post is this song that I want to share with you.
They say that time is of the essence. This is by all means true. The accuracy of timing cannot be emphasised any further.
Was it too early to start? Was I too late? Is this the right time?

I came across your blog by accident, looking for images of roses. I wanted to tell you that I loved the story of the path of roses. It's beautiful and sad at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing.
