Thoughts for the day: A bug's life
Ever wondered what's an ant's life? We only know of it as that tiny speck of living creature that crawls here and there.
Mant could not recall anything of his life before his routine started. His life always begins in that dark hole under the soft Earth where he has to squeeze with all the other ant-lings.
The insides of Holey is dark, humid and stuffy. He didn't like that one bit!! Mant always looked forward to the best time of his daily life. The "food hunt"!!!
There are so many things out there to experience! Nothing is better than treading on the soft long green things that will move up and down like his very own antennas; or touching the dangerous looking transparent creature that will create a reflection of him; or even look at the cotton-like thingy far away above Holey. There were so many fascinating things outside.
There was a con about it though. Mant knows it very well. Every Ant-lings do. Once you're out there, every little tiny mistake is sufficient to make sure you never see Holey again. Regardless, Mant still loves to venture outside. He feels more lively outside. He feels happier! Although there are times when he frowns at the "challenge". Like that disgusting giant monster with huge patterned platform trying to make pancake out of him. He hates those the most. He wondered why they were so big to begin with.
But Mant always end up sad at the end of the day, because he has to return back to Holey. That stuffy place... That... empty void... So, today... Mant will run away and travel the Earth till the very day he is done with by whatever that is outside.
