Thoughts for the day: Trashing
Ok... So I went with my family to Look Out Point at hulu langat (or ulu langat, whichever =.=) over the weekend. Second time there. This time, I decided to review the food I tasted up there. First of all, I'd like to declare that I only tried this once and this is solely my experience. So no hard feelings!! XD
So here we go:~~~~~~~
Wait a minute!!! ONE THING TO NOTE!!!!!
*RANT*
Don't ever park up the hill! Those people up there charge you extra RM3 for nothing!!! They call it "Valet Parking", but obviously they have no brains/education so they don't understand the usage of that. They still charge you regardless. They have one kind attitude and ya... I hate them =.=
*RANT ENDS*
So, we got a place where we had the best view of the Earth below. Then sat around and ordered the food. First came the drinks.
Only had three drinks: Mum's, Justin's and mine'sssssssss... XD
Well, best looking drink goes to ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me lar XD That's why I only took a picture of my drink =P
It's called Momocha, I think. It's coffee with chocolate chips. So ya... it tastes quite... chocolate-y. Nice if you like munching chocolates. Well, I do~
Next off will be the food. Let's start with the appetizers. (And obviously, they served food Malaysian-style: all dishes come out at once)
First off we have the Thai fried fish cake.
This tasted... weird. Well, I would pass it, but probably borderline. =/
Then came the twin brothers!
It's dumplings. Differently done.
I took the first one, that pan-fried one on the right. Reaction: Click here!
Ok... So probably deep fried would be better.
Reaction: You don't want to see this
I warned you =X It tasted like frozen dumpling, not properly heated up with all the soggy disgusting water still inside. Understand that taste? No? Stick to the fish then...
*****STAY AWAY FROM THIS DANGER!!*****
That's all for the appetizers that we call. Maybe there are better tasting ones. I won't know.
Then the main course! It's a blast!!!
First came, Mum's food. Cheese chicken chop:~~
Oh well... Despite it's appearance, it turned out to be hot and cheesy~! Nice stuff, but cannot compared with good stuff. (If you know what I mean)
Next off came my food and it's pasta!
Looks like carbonara with an awful lot of carrots and other vegis?? Trust me.. I hoped it was carbonara... At least it'll be easier to cook. This one tastes like it was a few hours overdone. Tasted like burnt carbon that I was eating!!!
Then came Justin's food. Looks..... Plainly normal and easy to make:~~
Fried chicken chop! Probably the best meal on the table. Really is. I recommend you people reading this post to get this while your other friends/family/colleagues try other things. Ignore the knife in the picture, monkey Justin playing around.
Next would be Jin's Cod:~~
This is Marmite Cod. Looks grilled and tastes nice also. This is another dish that you may order without worrying. No fishy smell like dumpling, that's for sure. =P
Lastly!! Came Dad's Piece of Log!! *Oops~~ I mean steak*
Can you see the flaw?? No? Take a look with a bit of light-------
Still don't see it? Notice that there's more black than brown? And when you bite on the black, feels like biting on rock; when you bite on the brown, feels like biting on hard rubber. The sauce...? Campbell-ish type. It's probably just this dish's problem, cause my dad asked the fella to separate the sauce *WHICH I WROTE IN THE ORDER FORM AND REMINDED THE FELLA TWICE, BUT IT STILL CAME OUT WITH THE SAUCE ON TOP*
Nopes.. no dessert. Parents were complaining whole night bout the food, so ya... there you go XD Maybe Look out point restaurant or Bread and olives will be better. I won't know!
Conclusion: Stick with the food you found nice *if any* and you'd do fine.
